Some pics from the recent past.

I haven't posted all the pictures from this past summer so here are some important things that happened mainly in August.

Maria came to visit me. We met at New Haven and have been friends ever since. We are at Happy Sumo with our other B.F.F. Tara. I love you girls! Happy Sumo will forever be "our place".

Here Maria and I are with our super cute pregnant friend Kara. We went to Guru's where I was introduced this summer and now I am hooked. I go get sweet potato fries pretty much every Friday night now. If you have not had them yet, GO and take me with you!
Um, my amazing Twin had ANOTHER baby. An adorable little girl named Abigail. Meredith you are so beautiful even right after you have a baby. She is eating an eclair which we brought her at our visit. Below is a picture of Meredith, Abigail and I at the hospital.

Here Steph and I went up to Logan to go to Jenessa's wedding to Travis. The Butterfield's are basically family to us and the reception was awesome. Jenessa was a beautiful bride and it was so great getting to see everyone.
Here is her sister Mikkal with Steph and I.
Steph and I also had the opportunity to visit the Logan Temple and do some work there. It was so beautiful and a great experience.
Here is Stephanie with her little toddler Reagan. Reagan is hilarious, she always gets me to laugh. :)
Here she is eating a lemon... See? She's funny.
Me and my Twin. Meredith I love you! Why are you in California when I need you here??? I miss you and your calm intelligence that seems to keep me balanced. How are you so beautiful even when you are about to have a baby??? (in this pic she went into labor the next week I believe). I just hope we are never prego at the same time, I would look like a whale next to her. :) Gosh family is the greatest.

It's My Birthday!

So today is my birthday, the big 27, and I am actually really excited about it. I am having a great day and I feel great. I wanted to dedicate this post to 27 things that I am proud of or that I have accomplished in my mere 27 years of life here on earth.

1. I am in better shape now then I have ever been before. It feels fabulous!
2. I am a better dancer than I have ever been! I am actually beginning to see myself as an actual ballet dancer!
3. I married an amazing man who takes wonderful care of me. I love you Eric!
4. I have great self control, for example 3 weeks ago I quit drinking soda pop cold turkey and I don't even miss it! I just think, "that is bad for me...yuck".
5. I ran a marathon, and hope to run a half marathon in the next couple years. Even though I ran the St. George marathon in 2004, I consider myself a runner now and love to do it whenever I get the chance.
6. I met Jeffrey R. Holland and he signed my pointe shoe!
7. I already have a Bachelor of Science degree from UVU with an emphasis in Social work.
8. I am junior at UVU getting my 2nd degree a BFA in ballet, and I LOVE it!!!
9. I have had 3 miscarriages and years of "infertility" problems and a surgery to boot and I SURVIVED it! and I actually truly feel it all happened for a reason and I am grateful to be where I am today because of it all.
10. I have a family who rocks and they love me and I love them. I have a twin sister who is my opposite but also we have a lot of similarities.
11. I am really funny, like super sarcastic hilarious funny. Like really, I am. and if you don't get that I am funny then I kind of think that means you aren't smart... :)
12. I believe ANYTHING is possible. Anything! If you want something to happen in your life or if you want to become something then you can make it happen! If it doesn't happen it most likely means you either don't want it bad enough or aren't willing to sacrifice to make it happen.
13. I was married in the Bountiful Temple. :)
14. I like to dance like a total crazy person at dance parties. If I am really in my groove then watch out, you might get hit. Unfortunately I don't get to embrace this side of me that much cause I am married and don't go to dance parties very often...
15. I work really hard at my studies. I study and study and always get my homework done on time!
16. I am not afraid to speak my mind. But I do try to do so intelligently.
17. I call the ankle bones on each side of my ankles my "cream corners" don't ask me why I do this, I just do and have since I was a kid.
18. The best advice my Dad ever gave me was "if you don't have a plan you won't get very far" and I think about it all the time. Thank you dad! Now I have a backup plan for my plan!
19. The nicest thing my mom ever said to me was " you are the strongest person I know!" this made me feel like a million bucks because I did not see this in myself at the time.
20. I have a great dog named Tinka and I trained her really well all by myself, that was hard work! I just need to find a way to get her to not jump up on people...
21. I have been to Hawaii, Canada, Mexico, and Australia, next stop Paris and Italy! Hopefully.
22. I have lost both my big toenails recently to dancing on pointe, I am proud of this oddly.
23. My husband and I own our home and hope to pay it off someday!
24. I do push ups every night. I also get my husband to do them with me, now that is a trick!
25. I am now exercising the 2nd amendment. Watch out.
26. I am charming and have been since I was a baby.
27. I can ski black diamonds.

Honestly, I can say I have never been happier in my life and am so excited for this next year to come! Thank you to everyone who has shaped me and helped me become the person I am today.

What I am in to.

I loved conference today! It led to some great insights and reminders on what is important in my life and what I want out of it. You all know I love quotes and stuff so I just wanted to post some that are up my alley lately. :)

To think negatively is like taking a weakening drug.

When you have control over your thoughts, you have control over your life.

Do not let circumstances influence your thoughts and moods. By rising over them mentally, you will eventually rise over them materially.

Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.” - Maria Robinson

"This one step - choosing a goal and sticking to it - changes everything." Scott Reed

Some people find faultlike there is a reward for it .

I have become in large part who I am today because I believe change is possible. I used to not like the kind of person I was. I love who I am now and I hope to continue to grow and learn in ways I never imagined I could. I am not a "dream squasher" and I am someone who believes anything is possible for anyone and I love that about myself. If you ever need encouragement or motivation come to me! :)

Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!

Here is Eric skiing behind our speed boat. He looks hot when he ski's. Plus he can slalom! (that means ski on only one skinny little ski. Very cool.

Sweetly Summer

This summer has been jam-packed with FUN. Here are some of the highlights for your viewing pleasure... and for our memories.

Lake Powell 2009! Wompo Stompo! Here is Leslie with two of her daughters Katie and Maddie braving the Big Bertha (which can be truly terrifying, thank goodness she had her two little girls with her so Granddad would have a little mercy).

Basically all we do at Lake Powell is smile and laugh for a week straight.
Oh and play pranks on each other, way to go Josh! Eric didn't even see those bunny ears coming!:)
More Smiling.
Here are some good lookin' smiles from Zach and Alex.
Tinka thinking she is a lapdog.

Here is my niece Reagan's very 1st Birthday Party! Awesome cupcake Stephanie!
Same work Gala from last year! Same Dress! (except I have bangs and I am skinnier). Yea for me!
Getting fancied up is so fun!
Here is part of my gigantic family enjoying our backyard and our firepit. Gosh S'mores are good!

Basically this summer has been extremely full of my dancing (love it), Eric's working (think he loves it), lots of outdoor playing/swimming (super love it), and relaxing (need it)! I am excited for the fall to come but this end of this summer will truly be bittersweet.

Catch Up.

So here is a little summary of all the stuff I have been up to since February. I have been busy and it has been fun! School this semester was great and very busy I am glad to have a break but excited to start dancing a lot again in June. Hope you like the pics!

Here we are in Vegas celebrating our 4 year anniversary! It has been an amazing four years with lots of learning, trials, and good times. I love telling people we have been married four years, it is such a good feeling and great accomplishment! I can't wait for next year. Plus I LOVE celebrating in Las Vegas! This is our third anniversary in Vegas and I hope to keep the tradition going.
Here we are at La Reve, the awesome show was saw at the Wynn Hotel. It is basically like "O" by Cirque Du Soliel (but cheaper) I loved it!
Here are my new bangs! What do you think? I haven't had bangs since I was 11 years old! I really like them but they do take some getting used to.
This is the little water person that splashed us several times before the show at La Reve, we were in the front row and apparently in the "splash zone" I thought the lizard dude was pretty freaky but Eric thought he was hilarious!
This is the Lizard dude swimming toward us, freaky, but cool!
This is Eric and I in Vegas at the awesome Cesear's Palace Mall at the Iphone store. We had to get my Iphone updated and after we went to eat at the Cheesecake factory! Yum! White chocolate blueberry cheesecake is the best!!!!
Bangs!
This is some wonderful family friends posing with Meredith. Janessa is in the middle and she is getting married in August! and next to her is her mom Roxy, I love these guys so much!
Here are my favorite pair of jeans from high school that at some point after we got married I couldn't fit into anymore. UGH! Since I have been back dancing, running like crazy and watching what I eat I fit into them again! It can be done! I love those little shorts. :)
Here is my sister Meredith, her hubby Aaron and my cutest ever nephew Ben getting his hair cut. He isn't wearing a shirt and they gave him a sucker to keep him happy it was so funny!
Here is Eric's new love. A hyundai Genesis. It's fast, It's fun, it's WAY better than his old granny hyundai elantra!:)
Here is one of the end tables that I painted white. You will see the "before" picture next.
I redid all these small tables in white and they look great! I love home design, even though I am a total beginner.
I repainted our living room a beautiful blue. I love it! I just need to change the rest of the yellow to a white color and I will be done.!
Super Cool Sisters Steph, Karen, Mere, and Me. It was so fun to have Karen come visit!
I ran a 5k in March! at the time my miles were a little over 10 min and now they are around 9 minutes. Wow if you practice you DO get better!:)
Here are some headshots Eric took of me for my dance portfolio.
Head shot.
When Leslie and her familywere here we went skiing alot and had a great time. Here is Ben and Lauren showing me their super expressive facial expressions!
Lauren, Leslie (great hair babe), Maddie, Alisa, Katie. I love these girls!
Me, Leslie, and Mom at Olive Garden, I have spent a lot of $$ there this last year...

February

Eric wanted it to be a surprise where he took me for Valentines day so he put paper in my sunglasses!ha!

On Valentines it was dang cold and snowing so we had to really bundle up to enjoy our skiing! These face masks look so ridiculous and kind of scary but work great!
This is before the church Valentines Dance where we danced up a storm.

This is me skiing down Shady Lane at Solitude a couple weeks ago. We thought it would be fun to get some footage of my technique! It is a beautiful run and really fun to go down.

4 years ago on Valentine's Day

So 4 years ago on Valentine's Day is the day Eric proposed. I was SUPER shocked cause I thought he wasn't ready yet to get married but of course he was just throwing me off the scent so I would be insanely surprised when he flashed me the diamond ring and popped the question! It worked I was stunned for probably 3 minutes before I got the picture that the ring was in fact for me. :)

So now every Valentine's Day it is also a celebration/anniversary of when we got engaged! yea! Somehow Eric nearly outdid himself this year. He started the day out with beautiful flowers, then we went skiing and had a great time, then he told me he downloaded Twilight for me as a surprise and we could watch it that evening if I wanted. :) After skiing he took me to a great little restaurant called Chef G and it was a four course super nice dinner that was delicious. Halfway through the meal he handed me a little jewelry box across the table! I was shocked! I opened it and it was beautiful silver locket that I had told him I wanted over a month before. Way to go Eric. I started crying a little at this point cause he was being so sweet and surprising me so much. It made me feel so GOOD. Later that night before going to sleep he came in the room with a box of chocolates and a card. So sweet! I started crying again. Good tears.:)

Thank you so much honey for out doing yourself again and making me feel like a princess! Every year I feel closer to you and happier to be married to such an awesome guy. I love you.

Steph and Josh lookin good! Seriously 7am on xmas and you manage to look pretty.:)
Aaron and Meredith. Mere looks cute, Aaron looks like he's having too much fun:)
My Dad was the "Losercorn" for our animal game and he played the part well. j/k!
Katie, Grandmom, Leslie, Maddie setting up the Xmas tree.
Dad and Ben taking a little rest, anytime we put a kid in my dad's arms he would fall asleep and so would the kid, so cute!

It has been a very merry, exciting, and busy Christmas and New Year for our family. For Xmas we went to visit my parents and family in Kanab Utah and we both had a great time sledding with all the kids, eating good food, and playing tons of fun games! It was a great week and spending time with family is the best! For New Year's Eve Eric and I went up to his parents in South Weber and had a fun cozy time with his parents eating good food and playing fun games. On New Years day we spent the better part of it at his sister Natasha's brand new apartment. It was beautiful and so impressive it was so cool to see that her husband, Jake, and his father put the whole apartment together basically by themselves.

Other than family time Eric and I have been able to ski a couple times so far and plan on doing it a lot more in January, February and March. Woo Hoo! I am also proud to report that I got straight A's in all my classes this semester so that always feels good.

Most exciting for me is probably that I had the opportunity to get ILasik this past Friday January 2nd. The surgery was very intense, emotional, and scary, but quick. I posted the videos of it if you would like to view them. They are pretty creepy but pretty cool. The great thing about Lasik is the recovery is so easy and amazing! All I had to do was go sleep for a few hours after put in a million eye drops, sleep with my skiing googles and for three nights and have some mild discomfort. It is amazing though I can see and I don't need glasses or contacts! I keep thinking I need to go put my glasses on or take out my contacts but then I remember I can see almost perfectly already and those days of four eyes are over! It really is pretty great. Eric recorded the surgery in 12 segments so if you want to watch it then start with Lasik 1 and work your way to number 12 to see it in the best order. If you have questions post comments and I will try to answer the best I can. Enjoy!

Eric and I are looking forward to a great New Year and welcome 2009 with open arms!

Awesomely Busy October!

The month of October has been jam packed with tons of fun stuff for the Neilsen home! We kicked it off on spiritual note with Conference and then came by Birthday, then a week later I had UEA vacation from UVU and we went on a relaxing trip to St. George with Eric's family. It was great! Then to end the month with a bang was Halloween -- which I got pretty into this year. Honestly I was sick of wearing my costume by the time I got to finally take it off. I made good use of it this year. Already I can't wait for next October. But I am thrilled it is November cause Eric and I are getting psyched for skiing! P.S. if ANYONE is interested in Skiing with us this winter please let me know, we love to go with friends and family!

Here are a ton of pics of the past month:

Our good friends Lance and McKenna invited us to a Halloween party with a rock band theme. Everyone had to dress as a "rocker" and pick a rocker name and we ate good food and played Rockband till 2 in the morning! Eric was falling asleep by then but I guess he is not a true rocker like me. I nearly lost my voice screaming into the mike. :)

Here is part of the band. We had to rotate cause there were at least 10 people there. I was rockin out on the bass playing "Creep" it was awesome!
Here is my super bad-A hubby playing the guitar! He is so focused I love it. Isn't his wig great? The guitar is hiding it but he has some awesome bling on -- it stands for "Bad-A".
Yeah that is what I'm talking about. I especially love Erics rocker pose and Lance flashing his drumsticks -- so enthusiastic!
"Electra" and "Bad-A" our Halloween alter-egos. So sweet!
Whitney -she can really play the drums, me, and McKenna. It was a blast!
My Twin Mere who was a great Pippi Longstocking and me the Punk 80's Rocker.
Josh, Steph, and their cute baby Reagan who were all BYU supporters!
Me, Mere, Ben, and Alisa (who was a monkey but I accidently kept calling her a bear and it seemed to make her extremely frustrated). Ooops.
Here is my Jazz class dressed in our best 80's garb. Go to my blog inspiredance.blogspot.com to see some more pics and an awesome dance!

Elissa, Emily, and I doing some bendy moves.
The St. George hot tub! We stayed at an AMAZING house in the Ledges of St. George. It was so fun! Thanks again Claudia and Steven!

Ben eating chocolate cake and having some fun. He looks full.
Meredith and I lighting the candles on our delicious black forest cake, thanks Steph! Happy Birthday to us!
All we do is laugh when we hang out, it is so fun. :)
Shopping on our B-Day I was trying to help Mere find something "business dressy" but she ended up looking like a pirate. :) lol.
Me in my hot new 7 jeans! So excited to finally get them!

It was a great month full of fun and adventure!

General Conference Fall 2008

So today Eric and I were lucky enough to go to the afternoon session at General Conference in SLC (Thanks for the tickets Chris!). It was so fun. I wasn't feeling very well but it was still so neat to be in the conference center with tons of Latter Day Saints, all the Apostles, the Prophet and to feel the Holy Spirit. I really am so grateful for the Gospel and all the joy it brings to my life.

Well, my brother Wyatt and his beautiful bride Katherine are finally married! Their wedding was beautiful and so much fun! Here are some pictures of it. It was in North Hampton Massachusetts and it is so amazing there! I love all the trees and rivers and green. So different than Utah.

4 year olds think I mismatch.

So some big news coming up for me is that this wednesday the 20th of August is my last day of work! I have been at New Haven for almost two and a half years and it is now coming to a close. Working at a treatment center has been one of the most intense learning experiences of my life. As you can imagine there is a lot of drama, sadness, depression, excitement, friendships and love working at a place like that. I am very sad to be leaving but it is time to move on to my next phase of life and I am SO very psyched to go back to school! This first picture is this past Friday, at work we had a super fun activity called a "Flour War". Basically it is capture the flag with bags of flour (yes cooking flour) that you throw at the other team to get them "out". It is great fun and I ended up with about a five pound bag of flour in my hair... It was fun trying to wash it out.

The next pictures are of me about to go out to my supervisor's wedding reception. I wanted to post a pic cause I was wearing a bright yellow shirt and orange shoes. I believe my niece Katie would have told me my clothes mismatch. A few weeks ago my sister Leslie was visiting with her kids and on sunday I was wearing a tan dress and red shoes and Katie looked me over and said "aunt Camille your clothes don't match" then she went on and on all through sacrament telling me I should be wearing some brown shoes instead and her mom has some cute ones. It was hilarious! Leslie tried to explain to her that their are exceptions to every rule and that I actually had great fashion sense. It was pretty cute. So Leslie you will have to ask Katie what she thinks of this outfit. haha.

The last pic is of me, my supervisor Amanda (a BEAUTIFUL bride) and my coworker Jerah. Congrats Amanda and Jerah I am so glad you moved so close! I am so excited to spend more time with you even though we won't be working together anymore.

check ot my other blog.

So I posted a couple dance combination's on my other blog today. Check them out and let me know what you think!

http://inspiredance.blogspot.com

Dance has been going really well. I am learning breakdancing in my hip hop class and it is hard. If I did that everyday for an hour I would be in the best shape! Ballet has been going great, but my pointe work is coming along slowly. It is difficult. I am having fun though and I am excited for fall semester to start!
